Among those buried in the Grove Street Cemetery are Alice and Susan Silliman, the first women registered to attend Yale’s School of the Fine Arts in 1869, and Professor Sylvia Ardyn Boone (Ph.D 1979), whose gravesite and headstone (pictured here) were carefully chosen by Vera Wells (BA 1971).
