High Street Bridge

Four architectural reliefs of winged females—representing Architecture, Drama, Painting, and Sculpture—greet pedestrians on both sides of the High Street Bridge, which connects Street Hall, the first home of the Yale School of the Fine Arts, with the Swartwout Building, part of the Yale University Art Gallery. The bridge and its female representations were designed by architect Egerton Swartwout (BA 1891) in 1928.
